Kathy Oakley

Kathy has been attending St. John’s with her family since 2015. Kathy grew up in Quincy and was a member of Vermont St. United Methodist church until they began attending St. John’s. Her family joined St. John’s in 2017. When her children were young, Kathy stayed home with them, but before staying home she taught kindergarten at Washington school and then Ellington school. She and her husband, Hal, have three children; Ben (25), Abigail (22), and Allen (20), and their dog, Radar.

 

Women’s fellowship has been on her heart since she began attending here. She has enjoyed getting St. John’s women together for fellowship, and book and bible study for the past few years. She loves the community of faith we have at St. John’s, and the strong youth program for creating servant leaders.

 

A fun fact most wouldn’t know about her is that she played her piccolo with the United States Air Force Band for a concert they had in Quincy when she was a senior in high school.
